Hey everyone,
Does anybody out there sew?? I need a table cloth for farmer's market hemmed, and wonder if someone could do it for me. I have the material. The greenhouses are going up today, and hoping for a calm morning tomorrow to put on the plastic. wow! Soon full of tomato, pepper, basil, eggplant, cucumber, squash... The CSA is going to be in heaven by August. First radish almost ready, and early lettuces too. Hoping for more rain!
Cheers all
Graham
Hey there,
Wondering if someone could help me get a shade canopy at Costco for the farmer's market. Anyone out there with a membership, willing to help me get one??
Thanks all,
G
We're pouring concrete footings for the field greenhouses -- next step: tomatoes/peppers/eggplants/basil/cukes/squash into them! Yeah!!
Hello all,
Hope you're enjoying the improving weather this long weekend. Sure notice, I know, but if anybody can make it out tomorrow, Monday May 21, that would be great. We are looking to get in transplants, and need hands/bodies.
Thanks
Graham
Hello all,
Would really appreciate help this Thursday or Friday with transplanting the next big wave of lettuces/cabbages. If someone has a free day this week, and would like to put in a fun day on the transplanter, let me know.
We are also ready to start pouring cement footings for the greenhouses, and could certainly use help next week with that. Two or more people would be perfect for that job. Once the footings are in, we'll have a work bee putting up the plastics. Then all those heat-lovers will be going in the ground!
So, if anyone can help May 17/18, or anytime 21-25, let us know.
Thanks
Graham
Hello all,
We got 3 1/2 beds lettuces in today. Things are looking great. Still lots to do. I'd like to get the onions/leeks/shallots in, the next week. Any help transplanting in the next 7 or 8 days will be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you can make it out (would prefer about 4 people). After that, we'll need a good crew (4-6) to help pour cement foundations for the three greenhouses which are going up. That will take us to end of May, at which time we will be planting the greenhouses with all the tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, basil.
I anticipate a very early First Delivery this year! Some time in June.
Thanks
Graham
Hello all,
A brief word to calm all your worried hearts and minds -- the garden is looking great! All potatoes planted last weekend, carrots/spinach/radish in. Greenhouse full of plants, and we are nearly ready to begin transplanting onions/leeks/shallots. It's the earliest we've ever put in potatoes. Supposed to rain Friday, which is perfect.
I will contact the CSA in next couple of weeks to ask for help with transplanting -- two or three extra people are invaluable. Enjoy the pictures enclosed.
Remainder of this week we are putting in foundation for three more greenhouses, for all the lovely tomatoes, eggplant, basil, peppers, cukes... So nice to have three helpers out here -- a world of difference!
